Two Whiskey-lovers and expert tutelage from a living icon make a great 100% rye.

The story of Woodinville Whiskey Co. starts in 2010 with two best friends founders Orlin Sorensen and Brett Carlile. They set out to create a great craft Whiskey, and these two gentlemen started things off right by enlisting the help of industry icon David Pickerell the former master distiller at Makers Mark. So although their business is young, theyve already won both Craft Whiskey of the Year and Craft Rye Whiskey of the Year for two years running from the American Distilling Institute.

All the grain used in Woodinville Spirits comes from a local, Omlin Family farm in nearby Quincy, Washington. In the case of their Woodinville Straight Rye, that means 100% rye grain. The wood for the barrels is air seasoned by being left in the weather for eighteen months prior to being made into barrels. The resulting Spirit is bottled at a near perfect 45% ABV. And its all that attention to detail that makes Woodinville Straight Rye a real treat.
