Three Ships Bourbon Cask Finish Nedbank 2016

The Three Ships Bourbon Cask Finish was released as a special limited edition for the 2016 Nedbank Golf Challenge, hosted by Gary Player. This South African whisky is made using both malt and grain whiskies, fully distilled and matured at the James Sedgwick Distillery. It matures for 3 years in American oak casks, then finishes for 6 months in fresh ex-bourbon casks, delivering intense flavour extraction in a short time.

Bottled at 43% ABV

Nose: Honeyed biscuits, vanilla, ripe fruit, toasted Brazil nuts, mocha coffee, mild spice

Palate: Honey, vanilla, buttery oak, overripe pear, black pepper, cinnamon

Finish: Lingering vanilla, cracked black pepper, cinnamon, warm spice
