This Extra Aejo is a reflection of its unique terroir. Harvested from the 2021 rancho La Ladera ‘The Hillside’ this single estate field sits at an altitude of over 2,100 meters, with rocky, red mineral soil and a steep slope. The agave plants here thrive in tough conditions, yielding smaller, yet sugar-rich pias that carry over 30% sugar content. This stress on the plants leads to a more concentrated and complex flavor in the tequila, beautifully showcased in each bottle of our Extra Aejo. Aged for three years, this vintage is a true expression of the land.

Aroma: Dried fruits like raisins and peach, dark chocolate, salted caramel, vanilla, cooked agave, toffee, and fresh oak.

Taste: Cooked agave, roasted coffee, nuts, orange peel, hints of black pepper, cherries, and oak.

Body & Color: Aged for 3 years in ex-American oak whiskey barrels, giving it a darker amber color with light green and golden reflections.

Finish: Long-lasting vanilla, coffee, and fresh oak finish, intense cooked agave, and round mouthfeel.
