Released in 2017, this is the third and permanent expression of the Shackleton whisky recreation (following on from the Journey and Discovery releases), inspired by the whisky left behindin Antarctica by Sir Ernest Shackleton in the early 1900s and discovered in 2007. Blended by master blender Richard Paterson. Bottled at 43%.

Nose: Vanilla, toffee apple, brioche, Manuka honey and hints of marmalade followed by cinnamon, banana bread and ginger cake.

Palate: Treacle toffee, Demerara sugar and sweet sultanas, glazed pineapple, freshly baked crusted bread and mango cake.

Finish: Hot mulled wine, praline chocolate and oolong tea with a final whisper of gentle bonfire smoke and crme brle.
