This Gold Gin is a higher-strength variation of the original Scapegrace Gin. It is made in New Zealand and features 12 different botanicals to tease the tastebuds, including clove, cinnamon, juniper, nutmeg, coriander, cassia, lemon peel, nutmeg, orange peel, cardamom, orris, angelica and liquorice. In this edition, however, you will also find that tangerine peels have been thrown into the mix!
Tasting Notes
Nose:Nutty and rounded the perfect blend of spiciness (from nutmeg), earthiness (from clove) and tangy flavors (from tangerine peel) gives it a feel reminiscent of coffee!
Palate:In center stage we have orris and cassia, which is joined by fennel, and juniper in the supporting roles. Spicy coriander makes up the core!
Finish:Once again, we have orris and angelica completes this gin with a floral finish.
