Nikka Yoichi Single Malt

Crafted at Nikkas renownedYoichi Distillery, this no-age-statement Japanese single malt whisky was introduced in 2016 to replace its older expressions. However, due to high demand, it quickly became just as rare. This peated whisky is a vatting of different vintages, matured in a mix of American oak and sherry casks, and bottled at 45% ABV.

Nose: Mellow peat gradually intensifies, bringing smoke, soot, and sea salt, followed by candied citrus, black licorice, nutmeg, and ginger spice.

Palate: A harmonious balance of peat, smoke, spice, and fresh fruit (melon, kiwi), with hints of chocolate and nuts, before the peat takes over once more.

Finish: Long and silky, with layers of pear, plum, apple, herbs, and malt, complemented by salty coastal freshness.
