One of Diageos smallest distilleries with four pot stills. Originally a mill, but remodeledas a distillery in 1878, Glen Spey sits in the centerof the village of Rothes next door to the Glenrothes Distillery and across the road from Forsyths the famous whisky still manufacturers. Glen Speys production has a characteristic lightness from the purifiers fitted to the spirit stills which return vaporsback for further distillation. After 10 years in smaller barrels, this whisky has a fragrant grassy nose with dried apple and some light vanilla.
