Named after Mansa Musa, the legendary emperor of Mali and often called the richest man in history, Mansa African Whisky is crafted by Spearhead Spirits at the Midlands Distillery in KwaZulu-Natal. Made with 100% South African maize, along with sorghum, rye, and barley, it’s matured for 3 to 5 years in heavily charred, reconditioned ex-red wine barrels sourced locally. Aged in a temperature-controlled warehouse, non-chillfiltered, and bottled at 43% ABV.

Nose: Sweet malt with caramel, vanilla, and dried apricot. Hints of citrus zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Palate: Creamy and smooth with toffee, butterscotch, and charred oak. Layers of dried fruit, honey, and light chocolate.

Finish: Medium length with toasted nuts, soft tannins, dark chocolate, and citrus zest.
