The Luigi Baudana 2020 Langhe Bianco Dragon is mostly Chardonnay with Sauvignon Blanc, Nascetta and a touch of Riesling. These results are glossy and shiny in this vintage, showing enormous purity and lifted intensity. The bouquet is really very beautiful, with orchard fruit, preserved lemon and an elegant touch of natural rubber that works perfectly. In fact, you can smell the wine even when the glass is placed far away. To the palate, it is silky and smooth, and something you might want to bring on a special fly-fishing trip to pair with your evening dinner of lemon-pepper trout.

Dragon is a unique white blend from the Langhe. Originallyproduced by Luigi Baudana during the 1980s with Chardonnay and Sauvignonblanc, it has evolved to embrace Nascetta, the most exciting white heirloomvarietal of the Langhe, and a tiny amount of Riesling.Dragon 2021 opens to fresh fruit aromas such as kiwi, lime andpear. Hints of minerality like flint and sea stones complete the elegant bouquet.The palate is citrusy whit flavors of orchard fruit, macerated elder flower andcandied orange peel that shine through the fresh and vibrant acidity. Drinkableand accessible it totally reflects the elegance and energy of the 2021 vintage.
