An outstanding, textbook Sancerre. Lucien Crochet is renowned for his excellent Loire wines, and La Croix du Roy Sancerre is one of them. Vinified in stainless steel with a late racking to insure that the wine captures the essence of the terroir, allowing the Sauvignon Blancs raw material rather than any oak dressing to carry the day. Notes of Citrusfruit with delightful earthy and herbal tones, this is exactly what a great Sancerre should be withwhite stone-fruits emerging, a chalky minerality on the palate and a pleasing Yuzu citrus finish.
