This Lowland single malt boasts a rich, yet light flavor from aging in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and STR ex-Burgundy red wine casks. Limited edition “Commemorative First Release” label included. Nose: Malty and crisp with sherried spice, toffee, hazelnut, vanilla, apples, pears, and bakery aromas. Notes of figs, plums, dark chocolate, and pipe tobacco add depth.
Palate: Creamy and oily with spices (nutmeg, clove), black pepper, caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, and red wine-poached pears.
Finish: Medium length with drying oak, syrupy anise, peppermint, and lingering orchard fruits.
