EMPERUS umadijaska ljivovica is the first and only brandy with a certified geographical indication in Serbia. It is produced from local plum varieties – Red ranka, aanska rodna, and aanska lepotica, which are exclusively grown and harvested in the territory of the umadija district. This means that the certification process includes control of the locality where these plums are grown the handling of the raw materials, as well as control of the processing and fermentation process. It has an intense vanilla-balsamic aroma and a full, rounded and harmonious taste, aged in oak barrels from the Serbian mountains.
