Taste
Experience the smooth and luxurious profile of eh taylor rye whiskey, a distinguished creation from Mash Bill #1. This exceptional bourbon boasts a lower rye content compared to Mash Bill #2, delivering prominent notes of rye and malted barley enhanced by bright hints of sweet dried fruit. The finish is robust, featuring bold flavors of black pepper, a touch of fresh dill, and subtle caramel overtones, concluding with an oaky elegance.

History
Crafted by the visionary E.H. Taylor, this whiskey epitomizes innovation and tradition. In 1869, Taylor acquired a small distillery in Frankfurt, Kentucky, originally named The Old Fire Copper Distillery. There, he revolutionized production with copper fermentation tanks, advanced grain grinding equipment, and unique columnar stills. Taylor’s pioneering techniques included aging whiskey in climate-controlled rickhouses, setting him apart from contemporaries who sweetened their bourbon with additives. Together with Treasury Secretary John G. Carlisle, Taylor was instrumental in passing the Bottled-In-Bond Act of 1897, ensuring spirits labeled as “Bonded” or “Bottled-in-Bond” met stringent quality standards. This included being produced by a single distiller, during one distillation season, and aged for at least four years in federally bonded warehouses. This fine bourbon, crafted from hand-selected barrels and bottled at over 125 proof, reflects the pre-Prohibition era craftsmanship of Buffalo Trace Distillery under the stewardship of Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr.

Please drink responsibly. You must be at least 21 years of age to enjoy alcoholic beverages.
