This Three Year Old Deluxe blended malt as part of their campaign for greater transparency in the Scotch industry. Only 0.4% of the blend is actually 3 years old. Itsmain component (90.3%) is a considerably older malt from Clynelish that matured in a refill hogshead. The remaining 9.3% is a Talisker malt that matured in a first-fill sherry butt. The blend was bottled in August 2016 at 49.2%. Compass Box Three Years Old Deluxes label bursts with sarcasm and we love it. The whisky itself is also pretty amazing. What are we saying its from Compass Box, of course it is. Only 3282 bottles of this limited-edition blended malt were released.
