This new expression is made from 100% Agave Papalote, also known asAgave cupreata, and specific to the Guerrero region. The plantgrows wildin the mountain range of Guerrero, which is on thecoast and hasatropical climate.

Agavescook over the course of three-fo-four days in a pit oven using volcanic rock and firewood from theGuamuchiltree, the company says: an endemic species to Mexico and South America.Distillationoccurs using firewood and a copperalembic still.

The result is a palate and aroma that go from grapefruit skin and fresh wood to rosemary and peanut oil, with hints of butter and daisy flowers, the company reports.

The decanters green color represents jade, a precious stone of value to Mexicos ancestral cultures. The design was inspired by the Guerrero woman, the company says, her tender nature, strength, leadership, and warrior spirit. Finally, the four-petal flowers that cover the decanter represent the Fifth Sun, a pre-Hispanic god representing the origin of the universe.

The cap is handcrafted using the Olinal lacquer technique, which has denomination of origin in Guerrero. It represents the vessel that ancient women carried, known as ajicara. The decoration features a hummingbird, reflecting its connection to this Mexican region, as pre-Hispanic communities considered this bird a messenger from the gods, the company says.

Clase Azul Tequila is 100% made from Blue Agave, produced at one of the highest points in the state of Jalisco. Its climate and land properties offer a characteristic tequila flavor. Each of the agaves is grown for 6 to 8 years before harvest. Organic agave requires approximately 72 hours of cooking in old masonry ovens. The baking gives the agave core a unique sweetness easily perceived by the complexity of aroma and flavors.
