Ardbeg Blasda Single Malt Scotch Whisky

One of the most talked-about releases of 2008: Ardbeg Blasda is a lesser-peated version of many people’s favorite Islay malt, being just 8ppm in bottle (as opposed to the standard 10yo’s 23ppm)

In Gaelic, Blasda means ‘sweet and delicious’: welcome to the lighter taste of Islay.

Bottled at 40% (Bottle size700ml)

Nose: Gentle and fresh, with subtle peat smoke. Aromas of green apples, lemon zest, and pear, complemented by hints of vanilla, honey, and soft floral notes.

Palate: Smooth and light, featuring delicate smoke intertwined with flavors of citrus fruits, sweet malt, and vanilla cream. A touch of sea salt and gentle spices add complexity.

Finish: Clean and refreshing, with a lingering hint of soft peat smoke, sweet vanilla, and a touch of oak.

Ardbeg Blasda offers a milder peated experience compared to the typical Ardbeg expressions, showcasing a lighter, fruitier profile while still retaining the distillerys signature character.
