Airigh Nam Beist, phonetically pronounced Arry-nam-Bayst, means shelter or pasture of the animals in Gaelic. Its named after a small hill loch between Loch Uigeadail and Charlies Dam at Ardbeg Distillery. This rare whisky, distilled in 1990 and aged in oak casks, offers a creamy, smoky profile with notes of woodsmoke, fennel, pine nuts, and tingling limes. A wee beastie of a dram. This one is bottled in 2006.
