Ardbeg 1978 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

One of the first releases by Glenmorangie (who had bought the distillery in 1997), this 1978 vintage was distilled a year after Ardbeg had completely closed their on-site maltings. A sought after bottling that is hard to find nowadays. Bottled at 43%.(Bottle size 700ml)

Nose: Robust peat smoke with hints of sea salt, citrus zest, and vanilla.

Palate: Full-bodied with intense peat smoke, rich caramel, dark chocolate, and a touch of espresso.

Finish: Long and smoky, with warming spices, black pepper, and a hint of medicinal iodine.
