Ailsa Bay 1.2 Sweet Smoke is distilled at Girvan, near Ailsa Craig. This Scotch whisky undergoes a unique micro-maturation process where the spirit is first aged in small ex-bourbon casks for rapid maturation, then transferred to virgin, first-fill, and refill American oak casks for several years. Bottled at 48.9%

Nose: Wood smoke, heather, sweet vanilla oak, and candied orange peel.

Palate: A balanced mix of peat and vanilla sweetness, with hints of fruit and toffee.

Finish: Sweet oak balanced with drying peat.
