Crafted at the renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery, this bourbon is a prized gem in the “Antique Collection Series,” recognized for its excellence in the whiskey world. Aged between ten to fourteen years, it embodies the distillery’s tradition of producing exceptional spirits.

This bourbon is created using Mash Bill #2, a carefully selected blend of corn, malted barley, and extra rye, similar to other distinguished spirits from the distillery such as Pappy Van Winkle and Blanton’s. Its rich complexity is marked by unique eucalyptus notes, complemented by the tartness of cherries. Upon tasting, the palate is greeted with bright stone fruits and a touch of citrus zest, leading to a sweet and warm finish characterized by hints of figs and raisins.

The history of this rare wheated bourbon is deeply rooted in the heritage of the Weller family. Originating from the 1740s, the Wellers were early pioneers in distilling. William Larue Weller’s innovative spirit led to the creation of the first bourbon to use wheat as a secondary grain in 1849, paving the way for smoother and slightly sweeter bourbons. His legacy continued through the establishment of the Stitzel-Weller Distillery, a collaboration born in 1935 that further cemented the Weller name in whiskey lore.

In 1999, Buffalo Trace acquired the W.L. Weller brand, continuing the tradition with a recipe that stays true to the original vision. The william larue weller 2015 remains a testament to the Weller family’s dedication to quality and innovation in bourbon production.

Please drink responsibly, you must be at least 21 years of age to enjoy alcoholic beverages.
