The winery sources the finest grapes, primarily 96% Treixadura and 4% Albario, from the Castieira vineyard in San Andrs, Ribadavia. The vineyard’s sandy soils with a granitic and shale base, combined with an altitude ranging from 702 to 892 feet above sea level, contribute to the wine’s distinct character. The winemaking process involves aging 40% of the wine in French Burgundian oak barrels for six months, while the remaining 60% is kept in stainless steel tanks with its fine lees for three months. The resulting blend exhibits a harmonious balance between the oak-aged richness and the freshness of stainless steel aging.
