The flagship Cuve of Wiston Estate is a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Wiston Estates 2020 Cuve is their first vintage release from this memorable year. The world descended into lockdown due to the Covid pandemic, and the UK experienced a near perfect spring – with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in April and May. The favourable conditions in Findon Park Vineyard, where the grapes for this wine come from, meant that spring frosts, which hit many other areas of the UK and northern Europe, were avoided. The lack of disease thanks to the favourable conditions allowed the team to leave the fruit hanging on the vines for as long as possible to reach the perfect level of ripeness. Super fresh and elegant, with a hint of spice from the oak ageing, linear citrus, fresh almonds, grapefruit and lemon posset.
