The Small Batch Releases for selected markets in 2019 feature whiskies that start with an already matured Machir Bay vatting or Machir Bay Collaborative Vatting at 46% alcohol strength. This vatting primarily consists of bourbon barrels and 5-15% oloroso sherry casks, and is then combined with a special Sauternes Hogshead. The worldwide 2021 Small Batch releases frequently use this additional cask, with the final vatting containing 70% bourbon, 5% oloroso sherry, and 25% Sauternes. Bottled at 49.1% ABV

Nose:Light oak with a balance of sweetness and spice with a subtle hint of peat.

Taste:Stronger peat with warming spice and light fruit flavours of apple and pear.

Finish:Lingering smoke, with warming spice.
