Master Distiller Noel Sweeney began his distilling career at Cooley Distillery, Co. Louth in 1989. Having qualified with degrees in Analytical Chemistry and Total Quality Management, it wasnt long before natural passion assured him the role of chief distiller/chief blender.

Throughout the 28 years that followed, he helped establish many new Irish Whiskeys and is credited for the release of the multi-award-winning Connemara (peated) Irish Whiskey, Greenore Single Grain, and many others.

These expressions have recently been complemented by the multi-award-winning Fercullen whiskey from Powerscourt. Each of these single casks have been released using spirit that was laid down by Noel and his teams. Bottled at 54.1% ( 750ml)

Nose:A nose of marmite with deep and rich dark fruits layered in milk chocolate. Coffee creamer, remember Cremora? Digging deeper reveals cranberry jelly with a constant beefy wine note. A hint of clove and some dates.

Palate: Lots of soft jelly fruits, the ones usually found in a chocolate sweet. Astros, skittles and wine gums all while staying in Oloroso wine territory. A touch of cinnamon spice.

Finish: The finish is long and lasting, creamy not drying and exceptionally balanced.
