A limited-edition blended whisky from boutique blenders, Compass Box. Launched in 2022 as the first release in the Extinct Blends Quartet, a collection of four whiskies that pay homage to styles of Scotch from the past, with Ultramarine taking its inspiration from a deluxe blended Scotch whisky first released in the late 1980s. Ultramarine combines malt whiskies from Caol Ila and Glendullan, grain whiskies from Cameronbridge and Girvan, and pre-blended whiskies from the Compass Box stocks, for a peaty, sherried expression. 5,430 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 51%.

Nose:Toffee, antique polished oak and complex peatiness are primary aromas.

Palate: A palate of roasted pecan, raisins and smoke.

Finish: Rich smoke lingers in the finish.
